Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Space ("Service"), provided by SHAPA IT COMPANY S.R.L. ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.
2. Description of Service
Space is an integrated workspace for projects, documents, tasks, calendar, and AI-assisted content creation. Users can manage projects, collaborate in real time, write and organise documents, generate images / video / text using selected AI models, and book meetings with clients — all from a single space.
3. User Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account. To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to harass or harm others, infringe intellectual property, or violate any applicable laws or regulations. Because Space includes AI image, video, and text generation, additional, specific rules apply to generated content — see the dedicated AI Content Policy below.
5. Content Ownership
Your Content: You retain ownership of the prompts and inputs you provide.
Generated Content: Subject to compliance with these Terms, you own the content generated through the Service for personal and commercial use.
License to Us: You grant us a limited license to process your inputs solely for providing the Service.
6. Payment and Billing
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. On-demand usage is billed in arrears based on actual consumption. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
Payment processing: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. By making a purchase, you agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy. Your payment information is collected and processed directly by Paddle — we do not store credit-card details. Paddle automatically calculates and collects applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, GST) for your jurisdiction at checkout.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Space shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Termination & Cancellation
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time — see How to Cancel Your Subscription for direct cancellation links.
AI Content Policy
Space provides AI-assisted generation of images, video, and text via third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Replicate). The following rules apply to all use of these features in addition to the general Acceptable Use rules. Violations may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of generated content.
1. Identifiable Persons & Likeness
You may not use Space to generate, edit, or distribute:
- Deepfakes, face swaps, or voice impersonations of any real person
- Content depicting an identifiable real person without that person's explicit consent
- Content intended to defame, harass, or impersonate any individual
- Synthetic media presented as authentic with intent to deceive
2. Minors
Zero tolerance: any content sexualizing, exploiting, or endangering minors is strictly prohibited. Violations are reported to law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.
3. Sexual & Adult Content
Space does not permit generation of sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise adult content. Models we route to (OpenAI, Google Gemini / Veo, Anthropic, Replicate) carry their own content filters which we do not bypass or attempt to bypass.
4. Intellectual Property
You may not generate content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights — including imitating a living artist's signature style for commercial use without authorization, or recreating protected characters, logos, or branded material.
5. Harmful, Illegal & Deceptive Use
You may not use Space to produce:
- Content promoting violence, self-harm, terrorism, or weapons of mass harm
- Disinformation, fake news, or manipulated media intended to mislead voters or markets
- Academic submissions, essays, or coursework presented as the user's own work where the originating institution prohibits AI assistance
- Phishing, malware, fraudulent claims, or social-engineering material
- Content that violates the Acceptable Use Policy of the underlying AI provider
6. How We Enforce This
Generation requests pass through provider-level safety filters (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Replicate) which we inherit, plus our own moderation on prompts and outputs. We may review prompts and generated content in connection with a credible abuse report, suspend accounts, and refuse refunds in cases of confirmed abuse. Repeat or severe violations result in permanent account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
7. Reporting Abuse
If you become aware of content generated through Space that violates this policy, email support@shapa.space with as much detail as possible (the subject line "AI content policy report" helps us route it correctly). We respond to credible reports within 72 hours.
Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: Email address, name, and profile information you provide directly or through OAuth sign-in (Google, etc.).
Billing Information: We do not collect or store credit-card numbers, bank-account details, or full payment credentials. All payment information is collected and processed directly by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, under Paddle's Privacy Policy. From Paddle we receive only the metadata needed to operate your subscription: order ID, subscription status, plan, billing country (for tax purposes), the last 4 digits of the card and card brand (for display in your billing settings), and renewal/expiry dates.
Usage Data: Prompts and inputs for content generation, generated content metadata, service usage statistics, and device information.
Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and theme preference only. Public marketing pages (Home, Pricing, Terms) load no third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. Once signed in, we use first-party, route-level analytics to understand product usage; this is covered by your acceptance of these Terms at signup and stores no third-party identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To process your content generation requests
- To manage your account and subscription
- To communicate with you about the Service
- To improve and optimize the Service
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
3. Data Retention
Generated content is stored while your account is active. Prompts are retained for service improvement and abuse prevention but are not used to train AI models without consent. Account data is removed within 30 days of deletion.
4. Data Sharing & Subprocessors
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with the following categories of subprocessors, each bound by GDPR-compliant data processing agreements:
- Hosting & database: Vercel Inc. (application hosting, edge functions), Supabase (managed Postgres database, authentication, file storage, realtime sync)
- Payments: Paddle.com Market Ltd. (Merchant of Record — billing, tax calculation, invoice delivery)
- AI model providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google (Gemini / Veo), Replicate — used only for the prompts you submit; providers are contractually prohibited from training models on your inputs
- Email delivery: Resend (transactional notifications, invitations, password resets)
- Media storage: Google Cloud Storage (used for AI-generated video output)
- Legal authorities: when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights and safety
Email privacy@shapa.space for the current subprocessor list or to request advance notice of new subprocessors.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Request your data in a portable format
Contact privacy@shapa.space to exercise these rights.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and secure authentication via OAuth and hashed credentials. Our infrastructure runs on SOC 2-compliant providers (Vercel, Supabase).
How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your Space subscription at any time. After cancellation you retain full access until the end of your current billing period and are not charged again.
Option 1 — From your Space account: Sign in, open Settings → Billing, and click Cancel subscription.
Option 2 — Through Paddle, our payment processor: Visit paddle.net and enter the email address you used at checkout. Paddle will email you a secure link to manage and cancel your subscription. This works even if you no longer have access to your Space account.
Option 3 — Email: Write to support@shapa.space from the email address on your account and we'll cancel within one business day.
Order processing and payment for Space is provided by Paddle.com as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all subscription billing, invoices, and refund disbursement.
Refund Policy
1. Subscription Refunds
First-Time Subscribers: Full refund within 7 days of initial purchase if you haven't exceeded 20% of included usage limits.
Monthly Subscriptions: No refunds for partial months. Cancel anytime and retain access until the end of your billing period.
Annual Subscriptions: Prorated refund available within 30 days of purchase.
EU / UK consumers: Where applicable, statutory withdrawal rights under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations apply unless waived during checkout. By starting use of the digital Service immediately after purchase, you consent to begin performance and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once performance has begun.
2. On-Demand Usage
On-demand usage charges (AI generations) are non-refundable once the underlying service has been delivered, as they represent compute already paid to upstream AI providers. Unused top-up credits remain on your account and follow the standard refund window under Section 1 if you cancel your subscription.
3. Service Issues
We may provide credits or refunds for:
- Extended service outages
- Technical errors resulting in failed charged generations
- Billing errors on our part
Report issues within 14 days of occurrence.
4. Exceptions
Refunds will not be provided for:
- Account termination due to Terms violations
- Dissatisfaction with AI output quality
- Failure to cancel before renewal
- Fraudulent or abusive activity
5. How to Request a Refund
Email support@shapa.space with your account email and reason. We process requests within 5 business days, with refunds credited within 5-10 business days.
